What it is
A body composition scan uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA): a very small, painless current passes through the body while you stand barefoot holding handles.
The scan takes under a minute and estimates lean mass, fat mass, water and other markers. Staff walk you through the report.
Why people love it
It takes under a minute and hands you numbers you can actually do something with: lean mass, fat mass, hydration. Most people have never had those figures written down.
Members get one every month, which turns a vague goal into a trend line you can watch.
Readings move with hydration and meals, so the real value is the series of scans rather than any single one, which is exactly why members keep coming back.
Your visit at SoliVana
- Length
- 20-min appointment · scan takes 30–60 seconds
- What happens
- Stand barefoot and hold the handles while remaining clothed. The BIA scan takes 30–60 seconds, then your report is generated and reviewed. It estimates body metrics, not a medical diagnosis.
- What to wear and bring
- You remain fully clothed. No special preparation is required. Remain clothed and remove shoes for the scan; consistent conditions help comparisons.
Getting the most from it
- Scan at a similar time of day each time, ideally before a big meal or workout.
- Compare trends over months rather than single readings.
- Members get a monthly scan included, which makes tracking easy.
Who it suits
Anyone starting a fitness or nutrition goal who wants a real number to aim at, and anyone who wants to watch it move month after month.
Who should check first
Ask about device suitability with implanted devices or pregnancy. Discuss interpretation, who can access results and how long results are retained before scanning. We can't book anyone in their first trimester for any experience. Later in pregnancy, check with your OB/GYN or midwife before booking.
SoliVana experiences are wellness services, not medical diagnosis or treatment.
